One of my big regrets is in how long it took to develop Destiny’s character. I think that maybe that’s why I wrote her out and gave her a different path like this. I felt that there was no basis for her and Kota being together.
Something I’ve realized. I’m not as big a fan of thought balloons as I used to be. I think I’d rather just have someone talk to themselves or let their faces tell the story.
So here’s another rooftop moment and a wall of text to go with it. I’ve learned to break those up, of course. I think part of this was me trying to rationalize how Kota seemed to do things that didn’t make sense for someone with the power of destruction. It turned out ok.
This isn’t an amazing page, but I will say it’s pretty solid art-wise.
So after this storyline I took a break and we had a guest comic by Geebo. I HAVE that story, but I’m going to put it on a separate page of guest material eventaully. For now, it’ll go straight into Munki’s story.
Geebo was always the Jay Leno to my Johnny Carson. If I needed a break he’d come up with a story, get it drawn up, I’d give him the site password, and update the comic while I was gone. I miss having that these days.
